We are proud to introduce the new PlateWriter 2500. It can image plates up to maximum plate size of 550 x 650 mm (21.7 x 25.6"), allowing for a larger range of image sizes and plate formats than the PlateWriter 2000.
The new PlateWriter 2500 carries forward our environmentally friendly approach to plate making, by also delivering press ready aluminum plates without any use of chemical processing.
Glunz & Jensen is well known in the Chinese newspaper industry as the leader in prepress solutions. Therefore, we were proud at All-in-Print China, to see the effort that our dealers are making to establish our brand as the first choice in high quality products for the Chinese sheet-fed industry. Some of the highlights from the show include:
- Our new dealer, Guangzhou Penghui Fenghua Group, had a great show featuring the Gecko 85T processor and the full range of Glunz & Jensen product brochures on their stand. Guangzhou Penghui Fenghua , who will be developing more business in China’s sheet-fed printing industry, report that Glunz & Jensen’s new compact Gecko processors generated a lot of interest.
- Lucky Huaguang Group showed our InterPlater HDX 85P and will continue to focus their business on Glunz & Jensen products for polymer plates.
- Beijing Xinshi Huayin and Shanghai Goss displayed our iCtP plate samples and family brochure, generating a lot of positive attention for our NewsWriter and PlateWriter 3000. A lot of customers liked the green plate-maker idea, particularly regarding the flexibility and cost-effectiveness.”Green” is becoming more and more attractive in China, and with NewsWriter installations in both the Shanxi Daily and People’s Daily, the level of interest was very high.
- Fujifilm Canada made a big splash with their ZAC series processors, featuring the Glunz & Jensen produced FLH-Z processor and proving that the processor side of the business can also be green. ZAC technology, produced in cooperation with Glunz & Jensen, reduces the use of processing chemicals by up to 80%, compared to other systems.
- Toronto iCtP dealer, PressDown Services, exhibited at the show, demonstrating the PlateWriter2000. It was a successful show for them, generating both sales and leads.
- Although not exhibiting at the show, another iCtP dealer, Graphique Innovachon Inc., took advantage of the special show pricing and placed an order for several iCtP units.
- Heidelberg Canada showed renewed interest and activity in Glunz & Jensen’s Automation program, particularly the CM62 commercial conveyor.
At POLYGRAPHINTER 2011, Nissa's management and Glunz & Jensen held positive talks in which the parties expressed mutual satisfaction with the level of cooperation and outlined plans for the future. Additionally, Nissa received training in a broad spectrum of Glunz & Jensen's products.

World leader in serving science, Thermo Fisher Scientific in Basingstoke, Hampshire, uses its Glunz & Jensen PlateWriter 2000 to produce cartridge discs for infection testing.
Peter Swann adds: "When Andy Lear called me to discuss iCtP he had tried other plate tests from leading manufacturers on thermal plates, but these did not provide the fine detail he required. The Glunz & Jensen i-plate test run on his bank of small presses went so well the company decided this would be their chosen machine."
We had an exciting PolygraphInter exhibition, the main national printing exhibition in Russia, meeting with our Russian dealers and other potential partners. Glunz & Jensen offset processors were featured at both the Heidelberg and Fuji stands, generating good interest. Sales have started to roll in as a consequence of the show, so far resulting in the sale of two HDX and two Raptor processors and a system conveyor.
LabelExpo 2011 was an important and successful exhibition for Degraf and Glunz & Jensen. The entire sales team was busy during the whole exhibition meeting with our distributors from 5 continents. The visitors we welcomed on our booth were “the decision makers” in their respective companies, so our discussions were always very constructive and of quality.

Glunz & Jensen dealers TotalComtech and Seil Photma report having a very successful KIPES (Korea) 2011 exhibition, generating a lot of interest and leads.
"We met several end-users who were interested in Gecko 125T, but also many dealers were very interested in the Gecko 125T. We explained the Gecko concept to them and gave them a thorough look inside the machine," said Ms. HyungJung Lee from Seil Photma.
As a result of the interest at KIPES, Seil Photma have now ordered more Gecko 125T units.
TotalComtech exhibited the HDX 125T in conjunction with their distributor, DaeJung Internationals. TotalComtech also describe the exhibition as a success and expect several orders in the near future.
